I have always loved to read.... maybe due to the facts that when I grew up there was no TV in our house and my father with a grade 8 education read every book he could get his hands on. Most of them he passed on to me.
I rarely buy magazines any more as I refuse to pay big dollars for a few brief articles jammed in between pages and pages of advertisements. When magazines do a turn around and print articles worth reading as the bulk of the magazine I might be convinced to start buying them once again. I doubt that I'm the only person who thinks this way.
I am happy to say that both my grandchildren also love to read and I cannot imagine that any school would punish a child for reading at school. That is a travesty that needs to be stopped.
